Worship Pastor Trey Thomas led the band in playing the songs “Great Things”, “King of My Heart”, “Believe For It” and “From the Ground Up”. Before service began, Debi Zentz and Pastor Chris Hansen called couples up for a round of “How Well Do You Know Your Spouse?” The message began with Liz and Pastor Chris sitting down to discuss the keys to marriage. Heritage Church of Sterling Heights, MI celebrated the annual Fall Kickoff on September 19, 2021. Upon entering guests were greeted at the door, the lobby was decked out in Green vs Blue, the message had a ‘bright’ surprise, and Pastor Chris held Storytime with an amazing book, “You Are Special“. The message given was entitled “You’re a First Round Draft Pick”. (Follow the link for a recording of this great service!) I highly encourage you to check it out! We are who God says we are, and HE say’s we ARE special and precious in His eyes.

On Sunday, August 8, 2021, Heritage Church held it’s annual Baptism event at Stony Creek’s Baypoint beach. The day was full of fun for the entire family from delicious free food, and inflatables to awesome music from the worship team. The evening was topped off with inspiring life change through Believers Baptism. An amazing 105 people took their next step by making a public declaration of their new relationship with Jesus! This act was modeled by Jesus himself and symbolizes the washing away of the old and starting anew in Christ. Acts 22:16 states “And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.”

Heritage Church held baptisms on Sunday, April 25, 2021 during the “Headlines” series. It was such a pleasure to capture these memories at the Sterling Heights campus for those taking their next step of faith with Believers Baptism. This is a public declaration of the new relationship with Jesus. It symbolizes washing away the old and starting anew in Christ. Between the Sterling Heights and Imlay City campuses there were a total of 18 baptisms! The baptisms were preceded by an amazing service. The service began with an awesome worship set led by Worship Pastor Trey Thomas and was followed by a powerful message from Pastor Chris Zarbaugh (Pastor Tim Wright for IC). The message featured the story of Jacob’s Well and the Samaritan woman which can be found here for Sterling Heights Campus, and here for Imlay City Campus, if you’d like to catch up on the story!
